With the City of Amarillo looking at a possible sales tax negative impact.
City officials are looking at some hard decisions, like delaying some projects and a hiring freeze.
Mayor Ginger Nelson says the city has enough money to make good on payments for Hodgetown ballpark and the downtown parking garage because there are debt obligations to pay using sales tax revenue.
The Mayor also says as it stands now Parks and Recreation summer programs will be slashed this year.
City Manager Jared Miller the city is estimating between 8 to 12 million dollars of negative impact on sales tax revenue.
