City of Amarillo Announces Plans to Recycle Materials from Demolished Buildings

Multiple warehouses in Amarillo were demolished to make room for the new city hall, but the buildings will soon have new uses.

The city has announced the materials from the destroyed buildings will be recycled for use in future projects.

Officials say at least 100 truckloads of concrete are eligible for recycling, compared to just 10 truckloads of general materials that will not be.

This does not include all of the brick and steel, which totals at least 20 truckloads.
