City Council To Discuss AEDC/RANGE Transfer, Ballot Language Concerning Recall Process
The Amarillo City Council will cover a number of annexing and zoning matters during its regular meeting Tuesday. Listed among the discussion items, “Update regarding Amarillo Economic Development Corporation in connection to financial assistance previously provided to the Regional Accelerator & New Growth Engine (RANGE).”
That, of course, has to do with the $750,000 wire transfer from the AEDC to The RANGE, both of which are served by Kevin Carter.
Ballot language for the November 5 election on the agenda with the second and final reading pursuant to Ordinance 8144, the special municipal election ordered August 13. Challenges have been identified by both the Randall County and Potter County election administrators with the length of the ballot language for Proposition D, which is the mayor and council recall process.
