Citizens Academy

The Potter County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy started week two on September 12th.

Citizens got a chance to hear from the County’s Estray and patrol divisions.

They learned about the shifts that start at 8:00 a.m. and most times end at four, but that’s not a guarantee, depending on call volume.

Instructors told them they could be doing traffic stops, to wrangling cattle, helping pedestrians on the side of the road, traffic accidents to medical calls.

PCSO officials also informed the attendees about the importance of the Citizens Academy by giving citizens a better and more clearer perspective of what the office actually does.
