Castro County Confirms 5th Resident With COVID-19

Castro County Judge Carroll Gerber confirms another resident has tested positive for COVID-19.

This latest case was tested in Lubbock and brings the total number to 5.

No further details on these cases have been released by the CDC.

The county is currently under a shelter in place order signed by Gerber on Tuesday.

This order means residents should take shelter in their homes to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.

No restrictions will be placed on farmers’ rancher or their workers.

Grocery stores, convenience stores, and gas stations will remain open and residents are asked to comply with limit purchases.
