Canyon City Council Approves New Businesses

Canyon city leaders have given a go for development projects from building a hotel to a bridal shop move.

They’ve allowed the Canyon Economic Development Corporation to pay 486-thousand dollars towards construction of a Hampton Inn and Suites east of the West Texas A&M University campus.

They also approved giving the Texas Panhandle heritage foundation 60-thousand dollars to partly fund a new sound system for the Amphitheater where “Texas” the musical is performed.

The CEDC is also paying out 30-thousand dollars for Ruthettes Bridal shop to move into a larger building
