CANYON BUYING NEW FIRE TRUCK

The City of Canyon will spend 300 thousand dollars on a new fire fighting truck.
The new truck will replace a 28-year-old vehicle.
City Commissioners voted to spend the money because the maintenance of the old truck was getting expensive and the new truck would cost less to maintain.
Part of the money comes from a 128-thousand-dollar grant from the state, making the cost to the city’s general budget less
