BSA Gets New Robot For Surgery

BSA Hospital has received its third Da Vinci Xi surgical robot.

The robot is touted as being more efficient and causing seamless surgeries.

BSA already has two and says it has had great success and saw a need for another one due to patients and doctors loving the benefits they bring with over 10-thousand surgeries.

The newest Da Vinci Xi has newer technology and allows for instrumentation manipulation, inside the abdominal cavity of the patient and is much easier for surgeons doing robotic surgery than it is for traditional laparoscopic.

Prior to BSA getting its newest robot, they were seeing a backlog in surgeries because of the huge demand for the Da Vinci Xi.

The new robot can be used in a number of surgeries including colon surgery, removal of both complete and partial prostate, and urinary tract procedures.
