Bonham Middle School Competing In The Harvard University Science Invitational

Bonham Middle School will be competing virtually in the Harvard University Science Invitational.

Founded in 1984, the Science Olympiad is one of the premier competitions in the nation, providing standards based challenges to nearly 8-thousand teams in all 50 states.

The program at Bonham started in 2017 and the school nearest Texas school competing in this years competition is in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Bonham will be competing in 26 events ranging from ecology to biology and physics.

30 students are currently participating from grades 6th to 8th grades and some of the Bonham students continue to participate into the ninth grade as well.

School officials say the goal is to keep their winning streak of attending the state competition for 5 years in a row and reach the nationals in 2021.
