Blue Alert Issued Out Of Memphis, Police Chief Shot
33-year-old Seth Altman being sought for his involvement in the killing or serious injury to a law enforcement officer.
The Blue Alert was issued early Friday morning out of Memphis, Texas.
Officials say police were serving a warrant to Altman for a burglary charge, when he ran from the back of the house where he made contact with Police Chief Rex Plant. Altman shot Plant, who was transported to Lubbock where he was listed in stable condition.
Altman was described as a white male, 6-foot-two , and weighing around 220 pounds. He was wearing blues jeans and a blue t-shirt. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
If you spot Altman, do not approach him, you are asked to call 9-1-1.
Memphis ISD schools cancelled classes for the day due to this incident.
