Blind Chef Refuses to Let Disability Hold Her Back

Master Chef’s only blind contestant and winner won’t let her rare disorder get between her and her dreams.

The Chat crew recently sat down with Chef Christine Ha, who was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder called neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, causing her to suffer from partial paralysis and even blindness.

Dr. Mitzi Joi Williams joined Chef Ha and explained more about the disease.

Despite the setback, Chef Ha has found other ways to make up for her lack of sight.

Both Chef ha and Dr. Williams say they hope to raise awareness about the rare disorder.
