Bee’s Fundraising Raises More Than 500,000 For Local Nonprofits, Organizations And More

An Amarillo owned and operated small business is doing their part to help nonprofits in our community.

Bee’s Fundraising says they have reached a significant milestone in helping nonprofits, sports organizations, PTAs, and more across the Texas Panhandle and South Plains by raising more than $500,000.

Founded in 2017 by Doug Sims, the group allows community organizations and residents to sell Butter Braid Pastries as a way to generate much-needed revenue.

Sims explains, “you don’t have to keep track of order forms or have kids and parents collecting cash. We provide each seller a personalized online portal with a link that they can send to family, friends, or anyone interested in buying a Butter Braid pastry.”

“I can’t say enough about working with Doug and Bee’s Fundraising,” said Jason Crespin, Academy Director for the Amarillo Little Theater. “Doug and his team do an amazing job helping us, and organizations like ours, raise funds that allow kids to do special things, like helping send our show choir to Disney World.”
