Auction Being Held for Helium operation

A federal helium system is being auctioned off on the north side of town. 

The plant is owned by the US General Services Administration and has over 38 thousand acres worth of mineral rights, gas wells, and pipelines that stretch from Texas to Kansas.

The sale will also include a maintenance station with about 10 acres in Satanta, Kansas.

The sale will take place in August, and property conveyance will be later into September.
