Attempted Kidnapping Suspect Sought
The Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted kidnapping.
Wednesday night at 10:30 p.m. a deputy was sent to the Sage Mesa neighborhood in Fritch.
A female juvenile had gone outside to retrieve something from her vehicle when an unknown person approached her. The victim was able to fend off the subject by kicking and screaming for help, causing the unknown person to run off.
The victim described the person as a white or Hispanic male, wearing a black shirt, black sweat pants, and black shoes. She said he stood about 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighed between 150 and 170 pounds.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone in the Sage Mesa neighborhood for security camera video and any information they may have on this crime to call 806 274-6343.
They also want to remind citizens to please keep your eyes open and report any suspicious activity you may see.
