Arrests Made After Sunday Morning Robberies

Starting at 3:35 Sunday morning, police came upon a series of robberies that has led to multiple arrests.

At 4:09 a.m. officers were called to the 5400 block of Amarillo Boulevard East on a robbery at gunpoint. The victim described the suspects as two Hispanic males that pulled a gun, and stole his white Toyota Avalon. Later on, they worked another robbery by gunpoint in the 1200 block of South Grand Street.

Three Hispanic males demanded a man’s Chevrolet Avalanche.

In the span of the next 4 hours, the three males were allegedly involved in the robbery of a convenience store on I-40, the Chevrolet Avalanche was located as well as was found abandoned as well as the Toyota Avalon, followed by the grey Chevy Trailblazer.

Police arrested 18-year-old Joseph Leo Cruz and 17-year-old Sergio Garcia Gomez on Aggravated Robbery Charges and booked them into jail. A 16-year old female and a 15 year old boy were also booked into the Youth Center
