APD Seeks Help Identifying Man Found In April

Amarillo Police seek your help in identifying a man found deceased in a field near East I-40 this past April.

The body was discovered April 12 in a field in the 6600 block of !-40 East. 

Though in an advanced state of decomposition, investigators were able to determine the man to be white and in his 40s or 50s, wearhing western style clothing, his pants featured a crisp starch crease. He wore dentures and had blonde-like gray hair and a full beard.

The man was found in a sleeping bag and wore a unique necklace. He also had what is described as a very unique backpack. 

Standard identification efforts were not possible and foul play is not suspected.
