APD Officer Arrested

An Amarillo Police Officer was arrested after being accused of assault family violence.

On May 23^rd the girlfriend of officer Micah Heagen made a report of assault against him.

The case was presented to the Potter County District Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for Heagen’s arrest.

Heagen turned himself in and was booked into the Potter County Jail.

He was placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the investigation.
