APD Looking For 3rd Suspect In January 9th Shooting
Two are behind bars and another was injured after a shooting in west Amarillo.
On January 9th, Amarillo Police Officers responded to a parking lot just after 1pm in the 1000 block of southeast 10th avenue.
Once on scene they found a 20-year-old with a gunshot wound to the upper body and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told officers that the suspect vehicle was occupied by a white female and two black males.
The vehicle was later located in the 4000 block of northeast 26th Avenue where 19-year-old Sydney Short and 18-year-old Javonne Demontre Mayes, were arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
A third suspect has not been located.
