APD Hunts For Homicide Suspect

Convenience Store Robbery
The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place Friday afternoon.
At 2 pm APD officers were sent to a home in the 100 block of South Tennesse on an assault call.
Upon arrival, they located 42-year-old Barry Ray Hemphill deceased from a wound to the upper body.
Homicide Detectives identified 29-year-old Darius Qumaine Allen as the suspect in the shooting.
Allen has not been located at this time and anyone with information on his location is asked to call the Amarillo Police Department or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
