APD Debuting Updated Tech For Investigations

The Amarillo Police Department will be activating the next phase of their SPIDR Tech platforms beginning April 11th, with this one set to assist with investigations.

The new innovations will integrate with RMS data to automatically generate and send texts and/or emails to victims of crime.

The messages could contain important information including the report number, category of the crime, the next steps in the investigation process, who to contact and when, and additional crime prevention tips, which will be sent as the case is updated.

The individual will also receive an invitation to a survey where they can identify, acknowledge, and highlight those officers in the department that are doing a standout job.

For more information on the new system contact Sergent Burr of the Amarillo Police Department by phone at (806) 378-4257 or by email at [email protected].
