APD Cracks Down on Underage Drinking

The Amarillo Police Department recently cracked down on underage drinking.

Officers spent the week of Spring Break doing extra duty due to the likelihood of minors drinking at events.

Law enforcement says it issued over 25 citations, including minors possessing alcohol and drug  paraphernalia.

They were also able to identify a liquor store that had sold alcohol to minors on more than one occasion.

The report has since been forwarded to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
