APD Changing Procedure Due to COVID-19

Due to COVID-19 the Amarillo Police Department will no longer come out in person on certain calls.

This is only for calls that require a report only and no action by the police.

Citizens may make a report on APD’s website or by calling the non-emergency phone number at 806-378-3038.

Once the report is made it will be handled by an investigator.

The action was taken by the APD to reduce the risk of officers being exposed to COVID-19.

Please remember that in the case of an emergency you should still call 911.
