APD Arrest Palo Duro High Student After Bringing a Gun to Campus

Amarillo Police made an arrest early Wednesday morning after a report came through of a gun being brought to Palo Duro High School’s campus. 

Amarillo ISD immediately put the campus on lockdown with Amarillo liaison officers locating and detaining the suspect shortly after.

The suspect, a 15-year-old student at PD, has since been arrested and will be booked into the Youth Center of the High Plains on charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon in a weapon-free zone and tampering with a serial number.
