Amarillo’s Animeals on Wheels Kicked Off This Week

Meals on Wheels started a new program that will make your pets excited.

This week was the beginning of AniMeals on Wheels, a delivery service for those on normal routes, that adds pet food to the dropoff.

There are about 100 people in Amarillo who use the service so far, and AniMeals is ready for more as they come.

They also include veterinary services to pets, to ensure good health.

These services are provided by the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine, which partnered with Meals on Wheels.

The college’s involvement serves multiple purposes, for training and teaching students about veterinary medicine, and community service for their students

Bethany Schilling, Assistant Professor of General Veterinary Practice expressed gratefulness to the community.

Meals on Wheels is always looking for more volunteers for their services and donations are also welcome.
