Amarillo Unemployment Rate

Amarillo is seeing some of the lowest unemployment rates in the state.

Potter, Randall, Carson, Armstrong and Oldham counties are seeing around 6,600 unemployed according to the Texas Workforce Commission.

September ended with 5% with the highest unemployment rate being in April with 9% 8,300 people out of work.

The lowest rate was recorded in February right before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic
