Amarillo Special Crimes Unit Investigate Murder Suicide

The Amarillo Police Department was called to a residence in the 6200 block of Estacado on Monday.
The original call was a structure fire with two people inside.
The Amarillo Fire Department discovered two people dead inside the home.
APD’s Special Crimes Unit identified the two as 45 year old Robby Elsworth Fithen and his 12 year old daughter.
Authorities determined that Fithen shot and killed his daughter before shooting and killing himself.
The cause of the fire and case is still under investigation.
