Amarillo Public Library Summer Events

The Amarillo Public Library will have over 40 events this summer across all branches as part of the summer reading theme ‘Tales and Tails”.

Activities this summer will include walks at the Amarillo Zoo and adoption events with Amarillo Animal Welfare and Management. The library is also debuting their program Touch a Truck, where kids can meet City of Amarillo employees and check out their equipment.

For younger kids, The Rubber Ducky Club also kicks off next month. The summer reading program is for ages 0-3 and includes acitivites families can do with their toddlers in addition to reading.

Prizes will also be available for those that complete the summer reading program. Every event will be offered both in person and online.
