Amarillo Public Library Planning Summer Full of Fun

The Amarillo Public Library has a fun summer planned, with things to do for everyone from children to adults.

All of the planned events are a part of the AMARILLO READS in the SUMMER program that hopes to get people of all ages reading more.

Among the upcoming options for the summer months include the Quilt of Many Hands project, History Unfolded, classes on how to reduce plastic waste and much more.

The Amarillo Public Library Public Relations Coordinator Stacy Clopton talked about why reading is so important.

Clopton says all of this is tied in with their summer reading logs, where you can win a variety of prizes by just reading 15 minutes every day.
