Amarillo Nat’l Bank Robbed

A man suspected of robbing the Amarillo National Bank has been found.

On Thursday, March 23rd, at 4:31 p.m.officers were called out to the bank at its main branch on Southeast 4th 

APD reports the man came into the bank, handing a teller a note demanding 10 thousand, and then leaving with the money.

Police officials say no weapon was seen and they immediately began an area search.

The man was found within a few blocks from the bank with the bank bag on him.  The case is still being investigated.
