Amarillo Museum of Art 50 celebration

The Amarillo Museum of Art is celebrating it’s 50-year art collection.

Over the past 50 years the Museum has collected an impressive amount of artwork.

Over the years the AMoA has purchased important artworks by Georgia O’Keefe, Grace Hartigan, James Brooks, Luis Jimenez, Andy Warhol, and Larry Bell, among many others and they’ve also received generous gifts of a variety of media, styles, and time pieces from local, regional, and nationally know collectors of art.

The Amarillo Museum of Art’s collection is a diverse collection that reflects the interests and history of visual arts in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle region. Artworks range from watercolor paintings by Georgia O’Keeffe that were completed in Canyon, Texas, to Japanese woodblock prints from the early 19th century.
