Amarillo Man Given 80-Year Prison Sentence

An Amarillo man was sentenced to 80 years in prison for the sexual assault of a child.

51-years old Vinson Darnell Williams was given 60 years in prison for a first-degree felony offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Judge Stuart Messer also sentenced him to a separate 20-year term for the second-degree felony offense of sexual assault of a child.

The judge ordered that he can not begin serving the 60-year term until he completes his 20-year term.

Because of the nature of the crimes he will be required to serve at least 50 percent of each separate sentence before being eligible for parole.
