Amarillo League of Women Voters Host Membership Meeting

The Amarillo League of Women Voters will hold their monthly Membership Meeting, Wednesday, April 27th at 11:30 a.m. .at the Hoffbrau Steak and Grill House at 7203 I-40 West.

The program will be an overview of the May 7 ballot issues. 

AISD Superintendent, Doug Loomis, will talk about the facts regarding the school bond propositions on the ballot. Pati Buchenau, AISD Deputy Superintendent of Finance and Operations, will speak about the state constitutional amendments.

Both candidates for the Canyon School Board of Trustees Place 1, Claudia Burkett and Paul Blake, will also make short presentations. 

The public is welcome to attend this meeting and may order and pay individually from the menu.

League President, Sonya Letson reminds voters that early voting for the May 7 election is from April 25 through May 3rd.
