Amarillo Indigent Defense Fund

Potter County Commissioners heard a report on Monday from the Potter and Armstrong County’s Indigent Defense Fund

In the report, The fund tells the Commissioners their office is open and ready for business.

The indigent Defense Fund is designed to help poor people who otherwise cannot afford a criminal defense lawyer.
The Potter-Randall County Fund’s purpose is to adopt a holistic defense approach to address the criminal case as well as to determine why the case exists in the first place.

The fund’s software is up and running. The office is open Monday through Friday, on the second floor of the Santa Fe Building at 900 South Polk Street, Suite 206
