The Amarillo Fire Department responded to a fire, Friday afternoon, at a fireworks building located at South Western and Hester.

The structure fire was a medium sized fireworks storage warehouse.

As firefighters extinguished the fire, small fireworks began discharging. The warehouse later collapsed.

Crews ruled the fire under control at 3:23 p.m.

The structure was believed to be unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.

The Potter County Fire Department continues to investigate the cause of the fire.
