Amarillo Fire Department debut a new piece of equipment AMBUS

The Amarillo Fire Department debut a new piece of equipment Wednesday afternoon.

The department unveiled its new AMBUS at Fire station 9, located on Paramount Boulevard.

AMBUS has a 20 patient capacity and includes a Mobile Intensive Care Unit with medical monitoring equipment.

The unit is a new way of responding to medical and natural disaster emergencies, and saves valuable time in getting victims critical medical care.
