Amarillo EDC Takes Home Workforce Excellence Award

The Amarillo Economic Development Corporation took home an award from the Texas Economic Development Council.
Amarillo EDC was the recipient of the Workforce Excellence award for a population of 100,001 to 150,000.
The award recognizes exceptional contributions by a Texas community or region that has implemented successful workforce initiatives with the AEDC being recognized for the Take Root In Amarillo initiative which gives businesses and others a chance to see the culture, economy and social benefits of the area.
Since its launch, the Take Root In Amarillo job board gained 342 new job postings from 21 local companies, totaling 1,135 job views, 103 apply clicks on postings, and 5 applications sent through the job portal.
