Amarillo College To Get New Grant

Amarillo College is getting ready to receive a 15-million-dollar Jobs For The Future grant.

The grant will cover dual credit programs for high schools.

The partnership will plan and expand the dual enrollment hub model with community colleges, directly impacting the programs at AC and opening more opportunities to students around the region.

AC is hoping the grant will make it a regional hub, and impact the school’s programs, as well as open more opportunities for regional students.

School officials say students who take dual credit have a success rate above 890 percent.

Many AC Students take a number of college classes where the credits are transferable to colleges and workforce certifications.
