Amarillo College Names Davenport and Oeschger as Distinguished Alumni

Amarillo College has named two people as Distinguished Alumni.

Sharon Oeschger and the late Matthew Davenport made considerable contributions to the legacy of AC.

Oeschger was elected to the Board of Regents and has financially supported 16 nursing scholarships at AC.

Davenport went on to serve in the United States Navy as a Naval Intelligence Officer, where he received countless awards for his service.

AC President Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart said “The accomplishments of these amazing leaders are beyond extraordinary, and we are extremely proud and truly privileged to honor them both,”
