Amarillo Burglary

Amarillo businesses that are closing early or shutting down altogether due to the Covid -19 virus may now have an increased threat to their establishments.

Amarillo police are investigating a late night burglary at Zombies Bar and Grill

Bar owner, Leisa Kite, says she had closed early at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday and later, business alarms sounded off.

Cameras caught two male intruders hopping over a gate, breaking a window and stealing from a cash register.

Kite says over two-thousand dollars in damage was done by the intruders.

Amarillo Police are warning businesses to contact them if they are going to be closing earlier, so they can let
patrolmen know.

Police Sergeant Carla Burr says that business owners may want to upgrade security around their premises, like lights fencing and windows to make sure they’re secure.
