Amarillo Bell Plant May Benefit From Recent Army Contract Approval

According to a press release Bell Textron Inc. the Army has approved moving forward with the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA).

The decision is part of the Major Capability Acquisition process.

Project Manager Colonel Jeffrey Poquette says the milestone was made possible by years of hard work by the FLRAA, the Army, and the Department of Defense team members.

The contract was awarded to Bell in December of 2022. Officials say it could be built in Amarillo, with that contract being worth a possible $80 billion.
