Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare Department to Keep Surrender Laws

The Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare Department wants to ensure the community that animal surrender laws have not changed. 

Despite a social media post floating around from an organization stating there was a change in city ordinance taking place this month, when an animal is surrendered to the AAMW by the owner, the owner will still have discretion to have them be eligible for adoption.
