Altman Now In Childress County Jail

Following his capture late last week thanks to a keen eye in Ft. Worth, fugitive and attempted murder suspect Seth Altman is now in custody in the Childress County Jail.

Altman, who nearly four weeks ago, shot Memphis, Texas Police Chief Rex Plant while his department was attempting to serve an arrest warrant. Plant was transported to a hospital in Lubbock where he recovered from his wounds and was released days later.

Altman is now being held in the Childress jail as part of a contract between Childress County and Hall County. He is being held on a $1 million bond on a charge of attempted murder of a peace officer.
