AFD Responds To House Fire In The Greenways

The Amarillo Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the Greenways early Thursday morning.

The first crew arrived to see flames coming from the roof of the garage of a home that was currently under construction.

The aerial ladder was brought out to help extinguish the blaze that was growing closer to the 2nd story of the home.

A 2nd crew was brought out for additional water supply as crews made entry into the home.

The fire was brought under control less than an hour later with no injuries being reported.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is still investigating the case.
