AFD Responds To Fire On Hayden Street Thursday Evening

The Amarillo Fire Department was called out to a structure fire in the 1400 block of Hayden Thursday evening.

Once on scene crews found light smoke coming from the building and once inside found a mattress smoldering in a back bedroom.

Since the bedroom door was closed at the time the fire had smothered itself out.

Everyone was outside at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.
