AFD Called Out To Fire In Southwest Amarillo

The Amarillo Fire Department responded to a structure fire Tuesday afternoon.
Units were called out to the 3400 block of Amherst Dr at 1:24 pm and discovered heavy smoke coming from the eves of the home.
The fire was brought under control just after 2 pm. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
