AEDC Community Meeting

The Amarillo Economic Development Corporation gave its annual report to City Leaders, business leaders, and the general community, on Tuesday morning.

Aaron Demerson, president & CEO at Texas Economic Development Corporation, told the attendees that growth is on the rise as well as economic development and  they compare quite well to the other cities in our state.

The workforce initiatives also highlighted the commitment to fostering a strong local workforce.

 Kevin Carter, President & CEO at AEDC pointed out that prospective employers know about the panhandle work ethic, the workforce and quality of life that the Corporation has done to make the area better.

The newest effort to promote community growth will launch as a recruitment initiative known as ReRoot to bring former Amarillo natives back home.
