AEDC 2021 State of the Economy

The Amarillo Economic Development Corporation held the 2021 State of the Economy Virtual this year.
CEO of the AEDC Kevin Carter spoke about the growth of Amarillo the past year with new business projects taking place.
Sharpened Image Studios at the Amarillo College Downtown Campus will bring in 40 jobs and $11.4 million in capital investments.
Panhandle Pure will bring in 30 jobs with $11.4 in Capital Investments.
And MWI Veterinary Supply will bring in 50 jobs with $1.7 in Capital Investments.
In 2020, over $20 million was collected from Sales Tax Revenue which is a 2.74% increase from past years.
The AEDC has also helped bring in $300 million and 1500 just in the last 10 years.
