AC Receives Grant From Texas Mutual

A 100-thousand dollar grant has been received by Amarillo College’s Safety and Environmental Technology program.

The money is donated by Texas Mutual and allows AC to offer free safety training to the general public. Funding will be used to support staff and acquire any necessary supplies needed to enhance the program.

The grant can be used for anything like staff salaries, equipment or supplies necessary to teach the classes.

This is the ninth year Texas Mutual has made this donation, and company officials say they will continue to keep donating in the future.

Texas Mutual says it will continue to expand the program to further public safety in the workforce.
