AAMW Gives Shelter Update after Distemper And Parvo Outbreak

The Animal Management and Welfare office gave an update on their shelter after the Distemper and Parvo outbreak.

The Shelter saw the first parvo case on June 3rd and the first distemper case on July 17th and confirmed on July 23rd.

Both viruses are deadly to canine’s so the shelter changed their policy for the intake and admission of the dogs.

As of right now, dogs are back to being adopted after having a series of vaccinations leading to an Available Adoption Date.
