A Way to Provide Clean Energy for All of Amarillo..

With the multiple ways that business has gone through by train or by bus, it’s no secret about the effect diesel fuel has on the environment, and especially in our pockets with the rise of gas prices recently. 

Representatives of the company Ecolution were in attendance for Tuesday’s City Council meeting and provided a presentation about ways our public transit can be more eco-friendly.

The said presentation is a proposed plan of implementing their patented microgrid technology, turning consumed energy into clean energy for a multitude of uses, as well as purchasing electric buses, and leasing them to the city of Amarillo. 

With a plan like this, one would think that tax dollars would be needed to fund an idea this big, but from the words of Executive Chairman Craig Bouchard, that won’t be necessary.
